Following Toulouse’s debut album and particularly the local success of C’est toujours à recommencer in French-speaking Canada, an English album followed in 1977 under the name Export, recycling three tracks from the first album. C’est toujours ... now renamed It Always Happens This Way (but it was still the same track - French lyrics apart from two lines), Toulouse, and On a rien à perdre now rewritten as If You Ever Need Someone with a completely new melody, but the same backing track. Mary Lou Gauthier had left the group by now and been replaced with Lorri Zimmermann (real name Lorraine Niedzielski). APB, What Would My Mama Say, and Don’t Play With My Heart were released as singles, the former two also in the US, but with no chart success to follow.
