Muja the World’s Oldest Alligator has Surgery

Muja the North American alligator has life-saving surgery as he had to have a foot amputated after being diagnosed with gangrene. Muya arrived in Belgrade in September 1937 from Germany, at time he arrived he was already an adult, so it is assumed that he was born before 1937. He survived the World War II during which the Zoo was almost completely destroyed, and NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999.
