Loon Egg Arrives - Long Version

Watching the loons from the first contraction, till the pair leave the area, this 56 minute video from LPC’s LoonCam 2 live stream, shows the moment the egg arrives, turning the egg, switching incubation roles and finally leaving the nest. It is common for the first egg of a clutch to be left along until the second one arrives. This helps the eggs hatch around the same time, an important aspect of the survival of both chicks. The livestream is available at through the hatch date, until the pair abandon the nest.
