This is a Mexican coffee recipe that is very easy to make, super delish and actually good for you (sans the sugar 😊). I make it without the piloncillo or brown sugar and absolutely love it. This coffee is spiced with cinnamon, cloves and star anise. Follow me : Twitter : Facebook : Instagram : How to make cafe de olla at home - 6 cups water 1 - 8 oz. piloncillo or brown sugar to taste 2 cinnamon sticks — preferably Mexican 4 cloves1 star anise 6 tablespoons of ground dark roast coffee (not instant) Bring the water to a boil. Add the piloncillo or brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add the cinnamon, cloves and star anise. Add the coffee and stir well. Bring to a rolling boil and remove from the heat. Cover and allow the coffee to steep for 5 minutes. Strain the coffee into cups and enjoy.
