Combat work of the crew of the D-30 gun During aerial reconnaissance, reconnaissance units of the Guards Airborne Don Cossack Regiment of the Airborne Forces from Feodosia discovered a group of Ukrainian Forces infantry trying to gain a foothold in forward positions and take cover in dugouts northwest of the village Verbovoe. Their coordinates were immediately transmitted to the artillery control point for their destruction. With well-aimed fire, from closed firing positions, artillery crews of 122-mm D-30 howitzers destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry with two shots. From receiving the target to firing the shot, the military personnel spent a minimum of time, after which the reconnaissance group of paratroopers adjusted the fire to inflict maximum fire damage on the enemy.
