Ymir was born, apparently, in one of the ghettos of Marlia, where the Eldians were. She did not remember her parents, name and lived in poverty. At the age of five or six, she was found by members of the flock who worshipped Ymir Fritz and gave her a name in honor of her great ancestor. Since then, and only for that reason, she had a bed and some food, the organization declared her the new incarnation of Ymir Fritz and worshipped her. A few years later (Ymir was 11-12 years old at the time), the flock was discovered by the military, its sectarians, at gunpoint, accused Ymir of deception. The members of the flock and Ymir were brutally mocked by the Marlians, after which they were injected with serums that turned them into brainless titans and dropped from the wall. For about 60 years, Ymir lived in the body of an unreasonable titan, almost without memory, she herself described this state as an “endless nightmare.“ One day she ran into Rainer, Berthold and Marcel, heading for the Maria wall, in order to get behind it. So she ate Marcel and got the power of shifter. After a while, Ymir regained her human form and consciousness. She spent the next two years in the Sin wall, watching humanity, she survived by begging for money and food. There she overheard a conversation between members of the cult of Walls and learned about the History of Reiss. Ymir’s interest in History led her to enroll in the military, Ymir hoped to pay for past crimes through her help to History. Ilsa Langner, a member of the Intelligence Corps, outwardly similar to Ymir, encountered a talking titan in the forest who mentioned “Ymir people“. This titan mistook Ilse for Ymir and bowed to her, addressing her as “Lady Ymir“. Then Ilza’s notes were found by Hanji Zoe, they were the first prerequisites to the true nature of Ymir. PIERCE PROD.
