Engine running backwards? Lanz Bulldog Tractor two stroke

This Lanz Bulldog tractor can run both ways! Here is my dads antique Lanz Bulldog 45hp in action. Quite a unique design! This is a two stroke hot bulb engine and it is capable of running at very low rpm and even firing at zero/ 0 rpm.
