2024 Golden Trezzini Award Nominee: Copali House

Their project, the Copali House in Morelia, Mexico, has been officially selected for the 2024 Golden Trezzini Awards, which recognizes outstanding contributions to Architecture as Art. The Copali House is situated southwest of Morelia city, nestled in a residential country area just a short distance from one of the city’s most significant shopping malls. The house is designed around a double-height living room, which serves as the main circulation axis for the entire residence. This space is surrounded by the dining room, kitchen, stairs, and offers a stunning view of Morelia city, allowing for a visual display of the architectural space’s different areas. From this central space, the main routes that connect all the project’s functions are proposed. Upon entering the property, the eye is drawn to the swimming pool, creating a dialogue between the user and the architecture. The house is spread over two levels, with the social nucleus, a ground-floor bedroom, and the service area located on the first level.
