Sandy Powell - The Careless Caretaker (1930)

No titles. Comedian Sandy Powell in ’The Careless Caretaker’. Location of events unknown. Gentleman is met by Sandy Powell outside country railway station (outdoor location, not studio). We learn that the man has been away and Sandy Powell was left as a caretaker to look after his house. As the man gathers up his luggage, a suitcase and golf clubs Sandy explains how “everything is just as you left it“. He then goes on to explain how the dog was burnt to death when the car caught fire, which was caused by the garage catching fire, which was caused by the candles around the coffin of the mother-in-law, who died from shock on hearing the wife had run off with the chauffeur! And so it goes on. Camera is tracking with them along country road throughout the sketch. Sketch ends with Sandy saying “Apart from that, everything is just the same as you left it“. The other man drops his bags in exasperation I think the straight man is Frank Lorden - SL. This is duplicate of item in Pathetone PT 010
