Origins Magazine #1 - The Purpose of the Bhaktivedanta Institute

Sadaputa Dasa (Dr. Richard L. Thompson) explains his understanding of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami’s directions for the Bhaktivedanta Institute which was formed to challenge the reductionist and speculative theories of modern science, and establish the Vedic teachings as a viable alternative. This is done in the context of his introductory explanation of the Origins magazine, a publication dedicated to the above stated purpose printed in 1984. As stated in the magazine credits, “The Bhaktivedanta Institute is a center dedicated to the advanced study of the nature and origin of life and the universe in light of ancient India’s Vedic literature.”
