The actors felt WEIRDED OUT by the Scale Doubles in the Hobbit (funny)

In The Hobbit movies, many scale doubles were used to portray the dwarves due to the height differences among the cast. The technology for face masks had improved since The Lord of the Rings films, making some doubles look almost identical to the original actors, while others looked somewhat similar but slightly off. Actors would build a rapport with their doubles, who wore masks molded from their faces, complete with matching facial hair and colors. Seeing doubles in character could be unsettling, as they would resemble the actors closely but behave differently when not in character, creating a strange and sometimes humorous experience on set. 👕 Check out our Middle-Earth inspired merch here!
