However, WWE’s YouTube channel put up a thumbnail that caught my attention. It was the long-awaited promo battle between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. Two years ago before Rhodes left All Elite Wrestling, he alluded that part of one of his last promos Tony Khan hoped he would save for later and an eventual program with CM Punk. Of course, that never happened. However, on the January 22nd edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, it went down. While not the greatest or most cutting battle of all time, it does bring up a subject that fans have discussed for years: Cody Rhodes did all the things CM Punk said in the pipebomb but never did.
