Fábio Fernandes performs William Walton - Bagatelle n.3 (Alla Cubana). Alla Cubana is part of a set of Five Bagatelles written by William Walton, around 1971, for Julian Bream and dedicated to composer Malcolm Arnold. On these Bagatelles William Walton avoids the recurring Spanish influence of the guitar repertoire and retains his own language while deeply exploring the vast range of the guitar’s musical possibilities. A few years later Walton orchestrated the Bagatelles into a suite, “Varii Capricci”. __________________________________
