Ilya’s 1st Samurai Helmet [Naraka Bladepoint]

Join us as we document Ilya making his first Samurai Helmet. The base design is from the new character Takeda from Naraka Bladepoint. The Samurai Helmet is also called a Kabuto (兜, 冑). Ilya makes all of the parts of the helmet from scratch. Starting with a 5 piece helmet top then moving on the making the fierce looking Mempo mask that is made in two pieces where the nose detaches and the fangs or tusks are also riveted on. He then creates the folds of the neck armor, the brass details and the Mon itself. There is even a little hand forging of the Haraidate which is the hook that holds the Mon onto the helmet.
