Anne, Princess Royal, led the Armistice Day ceremony at the Armed Forces Memorial within National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire for Remembrance Day. As is tradition since 1919 following World War One, two minutes of silence were observed at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Wreaths were laid by armed forces personnel in memory of all those who died in the service of their country.
