Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan & Clem Burke talk about Johnny Thunders, the Heartbreakers and the ‘.’ album. Iggy met Johnny when the Stooges and New York Dolls crossed paths in the early 1970’s. Bob Dylan played Johnny on his radio show. Clem Burke (of Blondie) grew up seeing the Dolls and Heartbreakers and is a big fan. Iggy Pop’s weekly radio show can be found at Billy Rath played bass in Iggy’s band on the initial part of his ‘Soldier’ tour in 1980. Bob Dylan’s ‘Theme Time Radio Hour’ has finished but many episodes can be found online. Johnny was a big Dylan fan; he covered Like a Rolling Stone: and Joey: (Btw in the 80’s Johnny moved to a private methadone programme when his manager took him and Jerry to a Harley Street doctor.)
