Spain: Emergency crews rush to La Palma eruption as lava nears sea

Local officials have said toxic gases could be released if the lava mixes with the sea water. Lava and smoke could be seen spewing from the volcano, whilst emergency staff drove vehicles along ashen roads to help residents retrieve their belongings.
