尺八 Shakuhachi flute - Rodrigo Rodriguez (A Winter Night) Traditional Japanese music

A Winter Night (冬の夜に)  An intense and unprecedented earthquake struck the Hanshin district of Japan before dawn on January 17, 1995.  The after effects of the earthquake caused secondary disasters which resulted in significant damages to land and property.  Most tragically, more than 5,000 people were killed in the earthquake and its aftermath.  In addition to the loss of life, many lost their homes and suffered cold and desolate nights.  Kohachiro Miyata composed this solo piece for the shakuhachi to express the feelings of the deeply shaken and homeless residents after this devastating natural disaster (Japan’s second most devastating earthquake of the 20th century). Music Performed by Rodrigo Rodriguez Composed by Kohachiro Miyata 1995 on January 23. Filmed and produced by Gabriel Flain for the UNEVISUAL Project · Uniting and inspiring people through art. ▼Keep up with us: ● Facebook: https:/
