Growing fears Israel-Hamas fighting in Gaza will fuel wider Middle East conflict

With Israel’s assault on Gaza dragging on for nearly three months, and the killings of Hamas officials in Lebanon, there are growing fears the fighting could spread throughout the Middle East. More than 22,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the Oct. 7 attacks, according to Hamas-ran Gaza Health Ministry.
