“Ye Merrie Month Of Maye“ Aka The Merry Month Of May (1932)

Full title reads: “’Ye Merrie Month of Maye’ and Mother did wake little 12 year old Nora Glover early to be crowned ’Queen of the May’ - at 6 am.“ Walworth Road, London. Children - mainly dressed in white - helped into open lorry. The lorry moves off, a small crowd has gather to see the children on their way. A horsedrawn carriage follows after the lorry and then a parade of girl guides and brownies. This is a parade for the Queen of May - the retiring Queen travels in the carriage. Bunting is hanging in the streets. Children walk in parade. Two boys lead a procession of girls all dressed in white and with little flowery head dresses.
