Breaking the Link Between Human Trafficking & Forced Migration: TVPRA

Join the Alliance to End Human Trafficking and the National Advocacy Center of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, Catholic sisters and other experts to begin breaking the link between human trafficking and forced migration. It’ll take just one hour, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EST, on Monday, February 12. Human traffickers thrive where vulnerability is high, where people are desperate, and their options are limited or nonexistent. One way to cut the traffickers’ supply line is to eliminate root causes and help migrants remain in their home countries. Learn about a key piece of legislation, the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2023 (H.R. 5856), that will provide systemic solutions and humanitarian assistance for food security, housing, employment, education and health care in local communities.
