“Why Aren’t Other Countries Doing Their Bit?” Former Brexit MEP On Immigration Crisis Aid
Ministers are facing calls to make further concessions to their sweeping asylum reforms, after senior Tory MPs joined a small backbench rebellion amid a parliamentary tussle over the Illegal Migration Bill.
TalkTV’s Mike Graham is joined by Former Brexit MEP Alex Phillips, who reacts to Theresa May voting against the Government amid concerns about ‘modern slavery provisions’ in the bill.
Alex goes on to question why the UK isn’t “putting pressure on other countries to do their bit” to aid the immigration crisis.
“These aren’t our issues and it’s not a problem to be solved on European shores!“
