Lee Min Ho in Los Angeles LACMA LA Art + Film Gala ORIGINAL VIDEO Lee Jung Jae Squid Game

NOTE: This entire vlog is an original footage video I filmed during Lee Min Ho’s visit to Los Angeles in November 2021. I have only been a fan of Lee Min Ho for 1.5 years (see my fangirling story below) and like every other fan’s dream, I wished to see him in person one day but I know it was nearly impossible as I don’t live in South Korea. I had high hopes that I may have a big chance of seeing him in person, when and if, he goes here in Los Angeles, California, sometime in 2022, to promote Pachinko, his upcoming Hollywood TV Series with AppleTV . But to my big surprise, the big news broke out on November 4 that he left Korea for Los Angeles to attend the high-profile fundraiser gala event at LACMA on November 6 (hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio and Eva Chow), where big-named entertainers were invited to attend such as Steven Spielberg, Amy Sherald, Kehinde Wiley, Selma Hayek, Diana Keaton, Serena Williams and many more! And just like that, that dream to see him in person finally came true! I couldn’t believe this was happening, it was for real - I didn’t have to go to South Korea to see him in person (FYI he used to have personal fan meetings in LA in the past). This time he came to me, he came to LA! Finally D-day came, November 6, 2021: I went with my friend to LACMA earlier that day around 1pm to scout the area. To my surprise, I saw Lee Min Ho’s videographer, Shin Kihoon, right outside of LACMA; he was filming the area for @leeminhofilm movielog I stood there in front of him and literally froze! I almost approached him to say Hi and welcome him to Los Angeles BUT I was too shy — now I regret not doing that! We left after scouting the area and came back after 4pm to secure our spot just behind the barricades right outside LACMA. So many celebrities and entertainers came but I was too busy waiting and looking for Lee Min Ho, making sure I did not miss his arrival, so I missed some opportunities in filming the arrival of other famous celebrities, including the cast of Squid Game (luckily I caught and filmed Lee Jung Jae’s arrival, as you will see on this video). When Lee Min Ho finally arrived, oh my goodness! I was completely starstruck! He looked extremely happy just hearing his fans loudly yell out his name, even other celebrities turned around and were stunned. As he walked to the main entrance and check-in area, he did not hesitate to keep walking and continued to approach us. Out of all the many Hollywood and South Korean celebrities who attended the gala event, it was only him who did that and approached all of us behind the barricade (Both times: arrival AND departure). He waved, said hi and gave the biggest smile, OMG I just could not contain my excitement. I tried to keep my phone as stable as possible to have the best video of him BUT that did not happen, I was too shaken and excited, so excuse the shakiness in the video. Once he was inside the venue, he managed to turn and look at us again and smiled and gave us the peace sign. After the party, all celebrities made their way and exited out on the farthest side away from us, BUT as expected, Lee Min Ho made an extra effort to exit on the side closest to us as he wanted to say his thanks and goodbye to us. And for the last time before leaving, he rolled down his car window and waved his last goodbye as his car drove away. After he left, my friend and I were both in cloud 9, we just could not believe that just happened and we saw Lee Min Ho in person. I can truly say that he is absolutely more handsome in person! He continues to amaze me even more now with the gentle heart and love that he has for his fans. I am officially a forever fan of him! Thanks to my Co-videographer: Coleen Confesion of My LMH Fangirling Story: I have never been a big fan of any male celebrities in my entire life until I saw Lee Min Ho. I first saw a glimpse of him late March 2020 when I turned to Korean dramas as my escape from boredom and insanity due to COVID-lockdown. It was the trailer of his latest drama, The King Eternal Monarch, that first caught my attention. But, it was his older drama from 2010, Personal Taste, where I watched him entirely that peaked my curiosity in him. I continued to watch all his dramas, including those dating back to 2005 pre-Boys Over Flowers days, and ultimately, I became an avid fan after seeing him on “Faith”. Up to this day, I still watch reruns of his dramas and realized that fangirling over LMH has become therapeutic. And suddenly, I sort of feel ashamed now to say that I feel like a fanatic teenager all over again!! 😭 IMPORTANT: All contents on this video were filmed, edited and owned by KT Film Production.
