The Raadha Kalpa Dance Company presents: Yahi Madhava Yahi Madhava is an Ashtapadi, (love poems of Radha and Krishna), from the Gitagovinda of Jayadeva. Radha is upset that Krishna is not next to her when she awakes. He then returns disheveled. As Radha finds signs of him being with someone else, her heart breaks with each instance of revelation and she tells Krishna to go away. She finds his eyelids heavy, and eyes red, she finds nailmarks on his body and the marks of red lac on his chest. She is so broken from his deceit that she accuses him of having no love and says his heart is sullied to have deceived someone who has loved him from the day she was born and asks him to leave. Radha and Krishna represent the Purusha, and Paramatma, and the idea that you cannot posses the universal truth. Only surrender to it.
