IRC 2022 Watchlist Briefing: System Failure

On January 20, 2022 the IRC hosted a special briefing and discussion on the 2022 Emergency Watchlist Report that spotlights the global humanitarian crises expected to significantly deteriorate in the coming year. Speakers include IRC President and CEO, David Miliband, IRC Country Directors, IRC Vice President of Emergencies, Bob Kitchen, and Afghanistan Country Director, Vicki Aken who gave insight on situations outlined in this year’s Watchlist Report.  Newly appointed IRC Ambassador, Toni Cornell, the daughter of the late musician Chris Cornell, also joined the discussion and spoke to the importance of activating young people to support refugee children, refugee rights and the impact of climate change on internally displaced populations.    The International Rescue Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future.
