The video clip was created by internationally acclaimed Swiss director, graphic designer and multimedia artist Dirk Koy, who is known for his work for Yello, among others. “In the beginning there is always a fragment. A sound or a certain sound pattern, from which everything develops in meticulous detail,“ says Boris Blank. “Besides acts like György Ligeti, Sun Ra, Miles Davis, I’ve always been a big fan of psychedelic music and bands like Pink Floyd or Iron Butterfly. I’m trying to bring this colorfulness from back then into the modern era and interpret it in a modern way in a melange of old and new influences.“ For over four decades now, Boris Blank has been shaping the development of electronic music as a member of the Swiss cult band Yello. As an established solo artist, this sound visionary has anchored his unchanging DNA in global pop culture, and is still regularly cited by modern acts.
