Historically, Greece and Russia had friendly relations for centuries. That changed in February 2022.
Russia has never attacked Greece, but after Russia invaded Ukraine - a non-NATO country to which Greece owes no obligation of reciprocal defence - Greece joined with NATO countries in waging a dangerous proxy war against Russia.
For a small country, Greece has played an out-sized role in the NATO proxy war. Greece has provided (and continues to provide) a broad array of weapons to Ukraine. It has sanctioned Russia. Through the Greek port of Alexandroupoli, Greece has greatly facilitated the transfer of heavy NATO weaponry to Ukraine. And Greek mercenaries are fighting on the side of Ukraine. At least one Greek mercenary is implicated in war crimes against surrendering Russian soldiers.
