Heavy rains hit the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The amount of precipitation was record high. The storms caused floods, landslides and mudslides in the region. Authorities have declared a red alert. The town of Brienz was badly damaged, where the Milibach River burst its banks. Residents were looking for safe places and hiding from bad weather. About 70 people were evacuated. There were problems with movement on the roads. The first floors and basements of buildings were flooded. Dozens of cars were trapped in water. The train station was flooded. Rescue services provide the necessary assistance.
