Media miss one crucial detail in Israel’s ethnic cleansing plans

As Israel’s government mulls over horrific plans for ethnic cleansing, the media have missed one crucial detail... Right, so how untouchable does Israel think it is, possibly quite rightly, if they think they can not only consider plans to ethnically cleanse the whole of northern Gaza, but to do so quite publicly so that we’re already aware of it? This is where we’re at folks, so brazen has the Israeli regime become, so poorly are they held to account by governments too in hock to the Israel Lobby, that the first part of their plan to occupy the Gaza Strip, as shown in plans that have also recently surfaced, may be about to begin. I’m sure it is mere coincidence that these plans to resettle and assimilate the Gaza Strip into the State of Israel just happen to match plans being mooted to ethnically cleanse the north of the Gaza Strip that are being debated right now, which is all about flushing out Hamas if you listen to Israel of course, but to displace the estimated 3,000 people still clinging onto survival in the north of the strip in order to do that and claim they would be acting within international humanitarian law if they did this as well? Well how stupid do they think we are? Or is it less about stupidity and more about helplessness as our government and others too, still refuse to condemn and sanction Israel no matter what they do and the end of Gaza as we know it seems likely to be the end result? Right, so a story has been brewing in the last 24 hours regarding the consideration of plans by Israel to now ethnically cleanse the whole of northern Gaza, that is, to displace every single remaining Gazan person and turn the entire area into a no-go zone. A siege in effect to forcibly displace – which as we know already is a war crime, or ought to by now if we’ve been following events since the night of October 7th – every single remaining person in the north of the Gaza Strip. These plans are going to be discussed amongst Netanyahu’s ministers later this week, but the idea itself was put on the table before Netanyahu last week, a plan which he as said makes a lot of sense, but given what we know of Israel’s future plans for Gaza, the context Netanyahu might have been alluding to there might work on more than one level. I’ll come back to that aspect of matters in a moment though. The plan itself was conceived and presented to officials last week by retired Major General Giora Eiland, this is him, he really does have a warm and friendly face doesn’t he? Like he just stepped in something nasty. Eiland is the former head of the National Security Council and former planning and operations chief in the IDF and in an excerpt from the Times of Israel he said: ‘“We have to tell the residents of north Gaza that they have one week to evacuate the territory, which then becomes a military zone, [a zone] in which every figure is a target and, most importantly, no supplies enter this territory. Eiland argued that a siege is not only an effective military tactic but is also compliant with international law. “What matters to [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar is land and dignity, and with this manoeuvre, you take away both land and dignity,” he said. ***Subscribe to the channel here*** ►ABOUT ME: Hi, I’m Damien Willey.
