On June 11, 1999, a convoy of about 30 Russian armored personnel carriers with 250 Russian servicemen, who were part of the international peacekeeping force in Bosnia, entered Serbia. The convoy was heading to Pristina and the Pristina International Airport ahead of the arrival of NATO troops.
