UPDATE- Since the release of Logic 10.4, the method in described in this video is unnecessary. You can still do it this way, but there are more efficient ways that only use either Logic by itself, or MainStage by itself. The key difference now is if you need Tempo Ramps (i.e. smooth tempo curve changes). If you DO need smooth tempo changes, then I would suggest using Logic for live performance. (Check my channel for the Tutorials playlist to see how to set that up.)
If you don’t have tempo changes, or if they are just simple tempo changes on a downbeat, then there’s a really slick way to automate MS3 that doesn’t require Logic anymore! Check out my new video that explains everything here:
