In this story, Heaven is supported by four different groups of angels called The Heavenly Divisions. One of them, the Authority Division, is responsible for maintaining the status quo and making sure everyone and everything is working just as intended. Having angels from the highest ranks (Seraphs, Cherubs, Thrones) as members of it, the division is known for it’s absolute power over Heaven as a whole. Rumors say that even when covering their own eyes, the Authorities watch over the fellow souls through the eyes of doves. Yet, their methods of keeping Heaven under control are terribly flawed and harmful, even if very few angels dare to oppose their orders. Naomi happens to silently be one of them. When offered a position in the division by Bianchi, she immediately declines it, not wanting to become part of the problem. Yet, Naomi can’t help but worry about the offer meaning something else, fearing the Authorities might be somewhat aware of what she had been doing. — - ✧
