Mexico’s prized xoloitzcuintle, hairless black dogs named by the Aztecs for the god of death, Xolotl, have become cool once again in the 21st century -- Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera had one and they are now the dog of choice for 20- and 30-somethings proud to embrace their Mexican heritage.
