My favorite lines are “The reason I love you is that your awaiting waits for something that will never happen for sure.” I’m not sure if I’ve managed to translate it well. I mean, it is really difficult even to understand its meaning, right? How can awaiting “wait” for something and how should I translate this properly? I mean, it is definitely said in the song that the one who’s waiting is Polina’s “awaiting”, not Polina herself. Also, the part I’ve translated as “Polina’s hands are like a forgotten song that you’ve heard again on a gramophone record” actually translates as “Polina’s hands are like a forgotten song played by a persistent needle”.
