Commemorating Woodstock 50th anniversary, Alan “Blind Owl“ Wilson sings lead and plays harmonica on his well-known composition On The Road Again (Enhanced). Soon after Canned Heat’s participation in the historic 1969 Woodstock Festival, the blues-rock group performed live on Playboy After Dark. The Los Angeles, CA TV series was recorded 50 years ago on November 20, 1969 and broadcast in January 1970.
Canned Heat formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The other founding members are Bob “The Bear” Hite, Larry “The Mole” Taylor, Fito de La Parra and Henry Vestine.

An autopsy identified his manner and cause of death as accidental acute barbiturate intoxication.
