Liebherr - Customer Days Ehingen 2012 - Keeping the balance

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH held its traditional open days on 13 and 14 June 2012 in Ehingen/Donau. Despite varied weather conditions, the event was a great success with more than 3,000 visitors from all over the world. The open day programme included the presentation of the new crane types, which were shown whilst in practical operation. A particular highlight was the spectacular crane mobile, by means of which the exceptional load capacity of the world’s largest conventional crawler crane, the LR 13000, was demonstrated. Using specifically constructed cross beams for the load, the flagship of the crawler cranes lifted the next largest crane, the 1,080-tonne LR 11350, which in turn held two further crawler cranes, the LR 1350 (288 tonnes) and the LR 1100 (62 tonnes). In front of an astonished audience, the LR 13000 rotated as well as moved in a travel direction with this 1,430-tonne-heavy “crane mobile“. More informations are available online:
