Almost 600 arrested as clashes erupt at banned anti-lockdown protests in Berlin

Court banned several demonstrations, including one by the Querdenker movement, citing concerns over the spread of the Delta variant. Thousands gathered regardless and soon clashes erupted. Germany has eased most of the pandemic-related restrictions since the start of summer.
