*Edited sections of the original report* As British troops prepare to join the UN peacekeeping force in Yugoslavia, THIS WEEK talks to some of the British soldiers already out there risking their lives in the bloodiest conflict in Europe since the Second World War. They are Britain’s “Dogs of War”, the mercenaries who have volunteered to fight for the Croatians in their bitter battle with the Serbian federal forces.
