Everest - The Final Ridge

I failed to reach the summit twice, both times just 500ft from the top of the world because of bad weather. The goal was to get to the summit as quickly as possible so as to not fail again. This is the footage. Just Dawa Tenzing Sherpa and I that night, couldn’t have done it without him and the other 3 Sherpas who were on our team: Lakpha, Dawa #2 and Namgyal. That season, we shared the journey with 20 000 Canadian kids in schools and created a 12-part episodic series produced from Mt. Everest. All of this in honour of the life of my friend Dr. Sean Egan who passed away during his attempt in 2005. May his spirit rest in peace. Hope you enjoy it.
