Euro zone inflation rate hits 2.9 percent in December

This is less than the 3% that financial experts had forecast, but it does mark the end of seven months of decline. December’s rise supports the European Central Bank’s prediction that the headline inflation will average 2.7% this year. Currently, the European bank has a record-high interest rate of above 4%.
