Sviatoslav Richter plays Ravel’s Jeux d’eau (live, 1952)

When I first heard this recording, I thought there was something wrong with the speed of the recording. Whether you agree with Richter’s choice of tempo or not, the piano playing is miraculous. Especially when you consider that this piece came at the end of a very demanding recital with works of Chopin, Liszt and Scriabin.
