Boney M - Mary’s Boy Child/Oh My Lord (1978)

Merry Christmas everybody! I’d thought I would upload one of my favourite christmas songs of all time! In 1978 Boney M were one of the most successful disco groups of that year selling millions of their records. Mary’s Boy Child were their Christmas number one originally sung by Harry Belafronte’ in 1956. The song does always bring back memories of course I wasn’t around when this brilliant record came out but I used to love hearing it every year at Christmas. Instead of the official video which sadly got taken down on my channel I decided to share this German TV appearance where they’re miming along infront of kids on a carousel and of course walking around a pretend market. The version they performed is short and isn’t the full track. I synced the clip up to the stereo track for you all to enjoy! The clip is in fantastic quality too!
