China stressed one-China principle in Shangri-La Dialogue as US sells $120m warship parts to Taiwan

Chinese military will resolutely smash any act to split Taiwan from China even at the cost of war in response to the US decision to sell warship parts to Taiwan worth about $120 million. These words came from Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe in his talks with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during 19th Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on June 10, when Austin stressed American help to Taiwan is out of security concerns. This is the fourth arms sales to the region since US President Joe Biden took office last year. The huge expenditures on US weapons have already aroused public discontent.
