Fans in Rome watch Italy beat Spain on penalties to reach Euro 2020 final

Italy fans celebrated in Rome on Tuesday after the ’Azzurri’ beat Spain in a penalty shoot-out at Wembley Stadium to reach the final of Euro 2020. After failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Italy has now set a new national record by going 33 games unbeaten. There were minor confrontations between supporters and police guarding the Rome fan zone before the match, but the evening ended in celebration as Jorginho scored the winning penalty kick. Roberto Mancini’s side will face the winner of Wednesday’s second semi-final between England and Denmark at Wembley Stadium. #ItalyNationalTeam #EURO2020 #ITAESP Rome, Italy. 6th July 2021. 0:00 Various of Italy fans celebrating during penalty shoot-out 0:38 SOUNDBITE (Italian): Federico Gamboni, Italy fan: “It was a very hard game until the end.
