HoN Hero Spotlight: Monarch

Play Heroes of Newerth for FREE: Monarch is one of the only support heroes in the game that sports a decent survivability despite being a ranged intelligence hero. With the use of Chrysalis, she can shield herself or allies from harm when approached in battle, making it a core spell to level if playing as a pure support. However, if you prefer a more offensive flair, Monarch can take strong lane presence and harass effectively by leveling Blinding Pollen and Noxious Cloud to max immediately. In either case, she benefits greatly from mana regen and items that give an aura such as Nome’s Wisdom, Astrolabe, and its’ components, along with standard support items such as striders and wards of sight!
