On summer season, I love to lie in the terrace hammock almost every night, and look up at the starry sky. I am always humbled and connected to something greater than myself by the beauty of the sky and constellations. I’ve imagined countless times, soaring that vast, daunting yet gorgeous field of worlds. Full of nebulas, and mermerizing wonders. They serve as a constant reminder to me of the infinite nature of the cosmos and the fact that no matter how much I learn, there will always be more to learn. The stars have inspired innumerable tales, myths, and legends throughout human history, and I find it fascinating that people from all walks of life have looked up at the heavens with wonder and reverence. For me, looking up at the stars provides a new perspective on life, a reminder of just how insignificant my own problems and achievements are in the grand scheme of things. But also a poem of love to my little sister Irene, the most wonderful person I’ve ever known, that left this world in 2018 just a few months after the release of “Immortalys.“ It is also a personal chronicle of these last four years and my journey over those times. With its lights and shadows, highs and lows, going from her loss, throughout grief, to the acceptance and final resilience state, I’ve tried to render this homage as beautifully and poetically as I could. Into “Onyria”, you’ll find almost two hours of new music recorded with a large orchestra, a children’s and an adult choir, and some of the most exquisite and well-known voices in the epic field, It also features a cast of extraordinary musicians, and I heartily hope you enjoy it and it makes you dream again...
