German Newsreel - Hitler Visiting Troops (1940)

Germany & Poland. Sign UFA appears - this is captured German newsreel. Various shots of German soldiers worming at the beach - probably building defences. Several shots of the men relaxing in the open air camp. They are laughing, reading magazines, letters, smoking, shaving etc. German dictator Adolf Hitler enters his car surrounded by mass of soldiers. He is standing at the back of open car giving the men Nazi salute, the men salute back. Car moving very slowly through large crowd of soldiers. Hitler leaving the car and getting inside a plane, troops cheering wildly as he leaves. Hitler’s pilot at controls of the plane. Plane landing and Hitler disembarks - according to paperwork he has come to visit Poland. He is greeted by a dignitary (possibly Hans Frank) and several high ranking officers.
