St David’s Day Celebrations (1917)

Location unknown - Wales? Or could be related to ON 042 M, which takes place in Liverpool, Merseyside. St. David’s Day; Welsh holiday. Opens with Welsh girls selling daffodil flowers or pins. These are Miss Olwen Lloyd George and some lady helpers in traditional / national costume. They have boxes hanging from their necks like cigarette girls and smaller boxes for coins. CU of one of these Welsh girls pinning flower on soldier; then holding up small box as he puts coin in. Parade of Welsh Fusiliers; with crowd joining in; walking along. Man in front with goat mascot.
