A professional competitor since 2013, O’Malley was featured on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, winning by knockout. O’Malley trains in Glendale, Arizona at The MMA Lab led by head trainer John Crouch, and is coached by his long time friend, Tim Welch. O’Malley was given the nickname “Sugar“ by one of his MMA coaches in Montana early on in his career. When O’Malley asked why this nickname was chosen, his coach responded, “Because you’re sweet to watch“.
