Russian Soldiers Enter Airbase Housing US Forces In Niger | Firstpost America
Tensions are running high in West Africa as Russian and American troops are stationed at the same military base in Niger. The troops of the two rivals are sharing Airbase 101 in the country’s capital city of Niamey. However, the reports suggest that the soldiers are based in different hangars and are not mingling with each other. This comes after Niger’s Junta Rulers expelled the US troops from the country following the July coup last year. The entry of Vladimir Putin’s forces has raised concerns over Russia’s access to US installations in Niger.
